Hi All, I would like to install the new HD Speedo/Tach with the LED
illumination on my '06 Nightrain, has anyone tried this, I have been told it
won't work, different connectors or something. I'd hate to order one and
then not be able to use it.

You might get more (accurate) responses on a newsgroup with "harley" in
the name. There are a few harley owners on this group but many of them
are older models and even more are non-harley types.
The Harley newsgroup members are likely to all be HOs (and I don't mean
that in a Don Imus, mean spirited kind'a way)

I'd imagine the "biggest" problem wouldn't be the connectors (anyone with
half a brain can solder wires and ditch the connectors or even fit a new set
of connectors) but the fact that LED's generally need a resistance in the
circuit that regular bulbs don't, so youo'd need to account for that and fit
them.

You could always donate it to charity and feed some kid for the next 12
years.

I presume he means the version with the color-matched LED backlighting.
The catalog shows '07 only. Being that the standard tach/speedo combinations
show a separate p/n for
'07, '04-'06, and pre '04, I would take the conservative position that he's out
of luck.
