i have a 1975 Honda 360, the clutch cable poped out of place while i
was riding and now i cant get it to go back. It just makes a clicking
sound when i pull on clutch and then looses all tension. I opened it
up and there are 3 ball berings that seem to fit in grooves, but i
cant get any results.

If you go to www.partsfish.com and register, you can look at the
Lefthand Crankcase Cover
fiche. I found a 1976 CJ-360 that shows the ball and ramp clutch
throwout mechanism.
The parts are only supposed to rotate so far, the balls aren't supposed
to be able to jump from one slot to the next slot.
The adjustment screw #6 has to be adjusted so the cable doesn't pull
the parts around too far.
