Hello M8's
Have just restored a 1979 Honda XL500S to mint and original condition.
However I have not managed to find just one small part, which is a "Neutral
Switch Rotor" This group does not permit binaries so I can not enclose a
picture, but the rotor is located at the gearshift shifting plate, inside the
left crankcase cover, and when the gearshifter is placed in neutral, the said
rotor makes contact with the neautral switch, which closes the electical
circuit and lights up the green bulb on the dash.
Honda does not carry the part, and all the mc-scrap yards in Scandinavia is
also 0 stock.
My last option will of cause be to manufacture one myself, but since my
objective is to finish this bike in a 100 % original condition, then I will
continue looking.
Can anybody please help, or at least point me in the right direction.
The XL250 engine has the same part.
Am located in Scandinavia, but since this mentioned part is so small and light
in weight it can easily fit into a postal envelop, and be shipped from
anywhere.
Am hoping for the best, and many thanks in advance to the person or persons
which can assist me in this matter.
Cheers,
Jambo
