got a bike that i could pick up.. Guys asking 1200 but very neg. Its a
90 kawasaki ninja750 with a custom paint job. needs a windshield, rear
tire, and carbs cleaned. What is a fair price for this bike. He also
just bought a brand new battery still in the box. It runs but dies out
after a few minutes due to the carbs being so dirty. please reply
asap thanks

What does "very neg" mean? "Very negative", meaning he's got a bad
attitude and is hard to deal with?

Or maybe it's a negative 1200, meaning that the current owner
is paying the OP to haul the thing away...:-)
Frankly, I think he's answered his own question. If you gotta
ask, and the bike shows this degree of apparent neglect,
personally I'd be running away as fast as possible....

Without more information (e.g., mileage), it's impossible to say, but
based on just what you wrote, i.e., an 18-year-old bike, needint work,
$300 *might* be a good deal for you, and $500 would probably be an act
of charity.

kbb.com says it is worth $1200 trade-in and over $2k retail.
But I agree with you.
