Actually, I'd like to know what parts China made for BMW that was cause for
BMW to change to Taiwan for better parts.
Bearings like in final drives? Seals? Gears and shafts in some of the
Gertrag trannys? Plastic airboxs on K series? What?
Good for them!

BMW is having more than a little trouble with their rear drives of late.
Lump it in there with lead paint, dog food and toothpaste?

Well, you make a rear drive out of lead paint, dog food and
toothpaste, yeah, that a problem.

Considering the number of dead final drives in the Iron Butt this
year, one would hope that they do _something_ to improve the final
drives.
At this point I'm _real_ happy that I decided to cheap out and go with
a Strom.
