This bike was responsible for my 38 year love affair with motorcycles.
That's me in the front, my dad in the middle and my sister on the back!

I'd like to find out exactly what this bike was and maybe try to find
one to restore for myself.

thanks

-Don

I would say that it's one of the old 65's, but it has a
downtube frame member in front of the engine. Of
course, the knobby tires could have just been fitted
aftermarket. As it stands, it looks like some kind of
hybrid trials/dirt bike from the early era.

Without a better picture, and not knowing anything
about this one, I'd also suggest it's a non-American
model. It's got the stamped fork, and the leading
link suspension, but I've never seen a Honda from
that time with a cradle(partial, or not) frame.

Also, the size of the rear plate makes me believe this
is an offshore model. Plus, the rider just doesn't look
American. I'd guess Germany or France. My guess is
German, but who knows?

On second look, perhaps the C110.
