This is about an '06 Wing.
On a ride last weekend, my wife tried turning on the heating for her
passenger seat on the Wing and found it didn't work. (She has a bum hip
and thought some heat would help it.)
I tried my control for the heater in the rider's seat and found it also
wasn't working. The weather was between 75 & 80 degrees F.
However, my grip heaters did work.
I'm wondering if there is some sort of thermostat that keeps the seat
heaters off in hot weather. But if that is so, how come the grip heaters
still work in hot weather?
My mechanic checked out the immediate wiring and relays around the seat
and found nothing wrong with them. Now he'll have to go to a big deal
by removing the left saddlebag and go through a time consuming check
unless I can get some info from other Wing riders as to if their heated
seats work in 80 degree weather.
