I would really like to reduce the wind noise on my 2004 FJR-1300. I'm
6'4" and any combination of windshields, tilts, angles, curved lips,
bar extenders, etc., have never solved the huge windnoise problem.
How well does the V-stream windshield work? National Cycle's
explanation sounds believable, but I'd like to hear from some folks
who have actually tried it. I've used their stuff in the past and it
always seemed to "work real good and last a long time."
Thanks for any info.

Buy a set of earplugs. Use them every time you leave the driveway, else
you will be using hearing aids in the future.

Mel,
Read all about real FJR riders' experiences with the V-stream here:

I'm tall too. I was told full face helmets are quieter.
Another suggestion - ear plugs?
I only use em on long rides but they help.
I like foam earplugs.

Don't know about the FJR, but the Z-Technik generally has resulted in less
wind noise, and much less buffeting on my BMW R1200RT. I say generally,
because there is a whistling sound produced with the VStream when the shield
is at it's lowest position which quickly goes away as it is raised. (And
even this noise is less than the howl from the Pilot Road front tire.)
