GSXR K3 replacement battery

 

Hello

Can anyone confirm that it is ok to use a YTX12-BS in my GSXR750 K3
which has a YT12A-BS as standard? The new battery fits ok, but will it
cause any problems on the electrical side ie charging etc?

If it fits, the connectors are compatible and it's a 12volt battery, the
only other difference will be it's capacity (in amps). The larger the
capacity, the longer the bike will crank before you run the battery flat.

I don't know which of the two has the highest/lowest ampere hour rating, but
all that's likely to be a problem (if a problem it is) is the different
charging times should the battery go flat.

It certainly won't cause you any electrical problems as all the system is
looking for is volts.
