Hey gang, just wondering what is the normal life span of your brakes? I
have an '03 ACE 750 and the rear brakes are still fine, but the front
brakes are ready for replacement. These breaks have a little over 26,000
miles.
So about how long do your brakes last on your bikes make/model? Also
does crappy weather like rain/blowing dirt affect their lifespan?
Thanks

Brake life depends on usage, not miles. If you do mile after mile on
the superslab without touching the brakes they'll last 100,000+ miles.
If you are strictly hard stop and go city driving you could run
through a set of front pads in 10,000 miles.

Well thats why i was asking how long YOUR brakes last, not how long they
themselves last. And about 100,000 miles, eh, i doubt that, never ever
heard about any brake system lasting that long, not that i know
everything, but i've just never heard of it.
So, how long do they last for you?

I don't have a bike, let alone ride one. I just like to insult people on the
internet.
They last forever!
