I'm in the market for a leather jacket. Would love a Harley, but just way
too much money. If you have one, do you like it and where did you get it? Do
you like it, and would you buy it again? If you want one, where would you
shop for it?
Thanks for your input,

Little leather shop in the Tyler Mall in Riverside CA.
They *ALWAYS* have them on sale... I think I paid $70 for a 42... they
go up to $90 when you get to 46 or 48.
Standard classic "biker jacket/80's rockstar jacket" with the flap
front to block the cold wind and fully zippered pockets and cuffs.
I like the look and comfort of bomber jackets, but they let the cold
wind in through the zipper.

Don't mistake thin glove-leather jackets or nylon motorcycle jackets for a
motorcycle jacket. To be a leather motorcycle jacket, the hide should be at
least 1.5mm thick, have padding at the shoulders and elbows, and have string
stitching and a zipper that won't come apart in case of unusual stress such as
sliding along the pavement. Many motorcycle jackets also have a zipper or two
around the waistband to attach to matching pants. I'm not sure I'd trust a $70
or $90 jacket to do the job of a motorcycle jacket.

Yeah but in California you ride in a T-shirt half of the year. So the jacket
in your closet can't help you anyway.

I'm in California. I ride with my Aerostich all year round. I'm an ATGATT guy:
All The Gear All The Time.
