Is there any reason why a person with a valid motorcycle license and proof
of insurance could not Fly to London Buy a motorcycle,
bike to dover take the ferry to calais and then on to paris and finally to
monte carlo. They would have a valid passport and money would be of
little concern.I am writing a story about a person who does just that.
Thanks in advance

In the early '80's I flew to London, bought a bike, rode around GB for
five weeks, sold the bike back to the same dealer. IIRC I did not
bother with license or insurance -- they are only required if you get
stopped for a traffic offense.

You should quote so people know to whom you are talking.
As Robert Heinlein said, "When in Rome, be a roman candle." Any
halfway decent driver goes with the flow -- as I told my 17-y-o new
driver as she paced traffic on the I-110 at 85 mph. As such, if
everyone else is driving on the wrong side of the road you do so
without a second thought. The only time you get into trouble is when
there is no other traffic to set the standard. With an automobile you
have the car being driven from the wrong side; but with a motorcycle
there is no wrong side.
