I started on a 125 in 1945. Still riding. I'd suggest starting on dirt,
asphault really hurts. Nothing bigger than a 250 to start with.

Honestly, if you're going to buy a bike, buy what you want. If you dump
the bike, call it character...my mom figured she'd do the same thing, 2
weeks into riding, she wanted to sell to get herself an 883 sportster.
Do yourself a favor...

Honestly.....for every ONE of those true stories, there are THREE that let
some macho man in their life talk them into "wanting" a bigger bike ( and
these aren't all women either) and end up HATING it....or forcing themselves
to try and ride it and end up wrecking it and getting injured.......AND
NEVER RIDING AGAIN.
While I know you mean well and are sincere in your advice......in general it
is NOT good advice, none the less.
