Hi
What kind of a license would one need in order to drive a motorcycle(new
kawasaki ninja) in Illinois? (or the US as a whole).
Thank you

An Illinois motorcycle liscence.  Get it at the secretary of states
office, the same place you get a regular driver liscence.

Are you living in eastern Europe now, Angelo? It looks like you speak a
Slavic language. You probably need an international driver's licence
unless you plan to become an Illinois resident.

An international license is only required in Massachussets. All other
states accept the national licenses from other countries, provided that
the text on it is also in English (which is the case for all European
licenses).

Why Massachussets still requires the international license beats me. It
is only a translation of the national license and not valid by itself
anyway.

If you plan to get an Illinois driver's license you will need to complete
a written exam and driving test in order to get a class M driver's license.
The whole process is pretty fast, you don't need to go to driving school
like in Croatia or rest of Europe (on the other hand this is why most
americans can't drive worth shit).

pozdrav :)
