I bought a second bike to throw in the RV garage for trips, a small
Suzuki DR200SE dual purpose. When traveling, etc it will be inside the
garage part of the RV so locked up. But when camping, etc I will have to
chain it to something to prevent it from 'walking away' since it's so
light. Any recommendations on cable or chain-type locks?

Jerry, last week I picked up a thick Kryptonite Gorgon cable/lock and
a Gorilla alarm from motorcycle-superstore.com. The alarm takes 20 min
to install (totally hidden under the seat) and the cable lock fits
nicely inside my tank bag. Very convenient. The cable comes with two
velcro straps to hook it to your handlebar or wherever if you prefer.
BTW, as brought up in another thread, Grip-Locks
http://www.lockitt.com/LeverLocks.htm
look like a great deterrent and newenough.com also sells billet lever
locks.

Full coverage insurance, visible theft deterrents, alarm, LoJack. Lots
of good options. Don't lose sleep. :-)

That leverlock is silly. Any lever can be easily broken in a second.
Anyone have experience with the disk lock with a battery-operated alarm
inside?

After much thinkin' on the topic, I decided against the lever lock.
Seems too easy and quick to cut off or break off the lever and just
snip the handlebar end off with some big lock cutter.

...versus the chain/cable lock which can't be cut off with bolt cutters?
