I was wondering beyond the owners manual How to check Majesty yp400
Final Drive Oil Level?
The owners manual of the Majesty yp400 states .25L, but there is no oil
level bolt in the Tranny final drive like the "Pinky DipCheck" Final Drive Bolts
on Hondas.
How do I really know there is .25L of oil in the final Drive, I wouldn't
want a pressure overfill, or a wear underfill during the course of maintenance.
Another thing, the LCD Display did not flash at the 1000k(600)mi point,
there's another thing the LCD display doesn't do, which is probably why the
Majesty 2005, doesn't have the LCD display "error codes" of the Majesty 2004
Boxer Engine.

I am not sure if this is the "right" answer - bit it is "a do-able" answer I
feel:
If you are sure about the oil amount- i.e. 0.25Liters/ - 1/4L - you are
talking about a total of just over a cupfull of oil.
I assume there _is_ a drain plug on the final drive. Drain the <probably
about 1/4L -> of old oil - replace the plug and pour in a measured 1/4L of
new oil = problem solved.
(Given the fact that motor oil is not all that cheap - this above soloution
would not work too well if we were talking about 5L of oil for instance -
but at 1/4L of oil?)

generally, you drain the oil with the "bottom" plug, pump some oil into
the top hole, let it start coming out the bottom, then plug the bottom
hole. fill til it starts coming out the top hole, and youre done.

Not the Yam-Majesty 400, the fill hole is on top of the Final Drive
Case, which, if filled, would hold some 4 times as much as prescribed, maybe a
hole Liter.
At that point, it would over pressurize and blow some seals.....there
must be metering technique somewhere.

A HOLE litre? That's not very much in the real world.
