The name brand scooters as far as I know, are sent without the front
wheel attached, and a bit of CVT plenum filter chamber hosing is not
attached, probably to make them harder to steal FOB....
The ones in a box are usually a kit bike, like the real fancy
looking chopper briggs/straton and up to the real small 50cc, but Yamy BWs
seel pretty good.
I got a Yamy Majesty 400cc which is mostly a cruiser and doesn't do
stoppies or even real wheelies, for lack of low power band, but that's not
what I bought a Cruiser for anyway.

They also charge $250+Tx for that glance at their merchandize since
they don;t get them in a driveable status right off......but mine had 187k
when I got it from the show room.....safe enough.

my first "big maxi" was a 2003 burgman. no stoppies or wheelies, but it
trounced the helix i had before it, in every category. i just wanted
something that could keep up on the freeway, and that was the only
japanese 400 at the time. yamaha came in about a year later, but there
was nothing enticing enough about it to dump the burgman for. i DID like
the mirrors, though! compared to a helix, either would be a sportbike.
