|>No answers here, only questions:

|>1) do you notice a difference because of the quite big wheels? eg., low
|>speed versus high-speed handling.uite
From what I read as a comparison, the larger wheels make softer
bumps, and more hi-way centrifuge, but it sits more like a rice
rocket/motorized bicycle..."as in seated above the rear wheel" for easier
handling, rather than "Cave manning it" like a Motorcycle unless it's a
comFerg.
It's also even taller than all maxi scooters even the wide
Majesty400 seat. for a short person it matters, but your relatively
tall....say 6' 1"????
I remember a 6' 6" having trouble with the Majesty's wide seat, but
the 6' 2" average of the CMG Canadian Motorcycle Guide testers, had no real
issues with it.....
|>
|>2) do you notice much low speed handling difference due to the extra
|>weight ( I gather it is about 80 lbs heavier than the older B400's)?
I bet it's a load at low speeds like most Cafe Racers.....

That's going to have to run a stretch... I though my Aprilia
Scarabeo 500 (older touring model, not the current "no-luggage,
sportster" version) was bad.
I run a 34-35" inseam, and can just flat-foot it at a stop -- with
the rear seat slid to the forward position; with the rear back, the
extra two inches that I sit to the rear prevents me from a two-foot flat
stop. Locking my legs to the footboard at a stop, and applying slight
throttle, is enough to lift the suspension and raise my feet from the
pavement -- before the machine even starts to really roll. I think the
seat height is something like 30" from ground (don't ask about the
passenger position -- the width is such that I imagine it feels what
being strapped into an ob/gyn examination table is like)

I'm about the same, and I put it at the almost full rear position,
so I can slide up to the front, and do a complete 2 ball of feet or flat
foot in sneakers.
Otherwise I do a 1 leg stance on either side, but left is still
better and it holds up like a feather...using different shoes with higher
toes, works good but you don't wan't to get to the pint you can;t walk
comfortably with them,....
No I don;t wanna be one of those who use different shoes for
driving, different for work, different for home, different for other
places....it doesn;t matter a few times, but changing into different
sneakers is tedious and takes up space....
In the black ice winters, I make sure to break the 1st layer of ice
with that foot, and/or I take the seat right off and drive it low like a
regular "caveman" m/cycle and really feel the road talking to me....it's a
safer that way too, and I can x2 ball-flat foot sitting anytime because of
the reduced width of the seat.....The windshield is taller then too which
helps in the winters.
At the end of a ride I feel my legs have stretched, and riding
pillion must feel like being in a maternity ward....

Same here again:
I think that the front position is too close to the inward
handlebars, and sharp turning is a bit awkwardly close and the arm length is
too cramped but I like them at least slightly bent or straight pull back
lean back....
Some ppl try a full (locked to stop) left hand turn,........define
if the right hand is still in control, then call it a fit.
I tried all positions for a long time to see if the upper narrower
front wasn't of some use, but the rubber covered seat of the Moto-Couch is a
awkward to comply with that system.
To sit on the narrow upper front part (in awkward-weaving-parking
situations), and still have reasonable control of the handlebars, would
require the seat to be almost to full back.
Seems like ever time you move the seat it feels like a different
machine....just removing the seat and sitting on the seat base certainly
gives you that "different machine" feeling.
I use a piece of vinyl to cover the seat holes from the rain, but
you can knock yourself out with pads, shaped vinyl runners strapped to the
seat holes, the ideas are endless....I used to but my alarm LED out the
front of the seat slide edges....fitted just right when I used the LED in
creepy places.
It's a matter of preference and comfort if you wanna drive ON the
scoot with seat or IN the scoot without the seat/couch.
