I like your thinking, nip it in the bud, send a "message" to all
vandals, but in a city were a lot of space is "disputably" somewhat shared,
it's difficult to burn the Vandals, and not expect quite a trip in Court$..
Some M/C alarmas are hard to disguise without a catch22 compromise of
some sort...the Gorilla Alarm I have is too bulky for a good skulking
location...on a puffy Maj400.
I Multi chain and use a well Lit, Remote Door Parking Lot Corner and a
Grungy Cover....
I have had over 103 attacks on my last Scooter Honda ch250, all by the
same Vandal, and the Deductibles and Insurance came to some $50,000.00 in a
10year period....
The Chains and Vetter Alarms on the Honda ch250 did not help either,
since the Vandal had an escape route closeby.

police to exercise this BaitCar method...they have lawyers and judges paid by
your tax dollars.....for that piviledge.

Taser/toaster is cool if you can afford $40 a shot, but there would
likely be more than assailant on your property....

I think so too, we're back to square one, but if you fire a warning shot
like it maay work better in some cases, depending on your state laws....but even
after firing a warning shot, the police may take all your guns....leaving you
defenseless for a week or so....bad news there heh....aren't they smart....maybe
get local Hells Angels logo on your Scooter Cover (if you know the thieves
aren't HO.A....?), nobody steals their bikes unless they are bigger criminal
organisation than they are, and there are many.........

Nope. NOT entrapment. Legally, entrapment is when you entice someone to
commit a crime they had no previous intention of committing. Merely parking
your legal property and leaving it unattended is not entrapment. Entrapment
would be walking up to someone on the street who is minding their own
business and pointing out that the scooter is unlocked and saying, "How
about helping me steal that scooter." I would say to have video cameras
running and to keep the bike from being driven off, disable the engine or
starter. I'd resist the temptation to try to capture the thieves
personally. You don't know just how hard or violently they might resist.
Your scooter is not worth your life. Instead, while they are trying to
steal it, call the cops, tell them the theft is "in progress" and when they
arrive and bust the thieves, hand them the video.

Ha...riiiiiight!!
It's 2007, and you're dreaming.
I still say diminish the population - quickly and efficiently.
