| This is for all U.S. residents or visitors:
|
| You are advised to avoid the state of Washington if you
wear a beanie.
|
| It can be gotten to by doing the following:
|
|
| I've been wearing that beanie for over 20 years now.
However, I want to
| obey the law and will start wearing my other helmet which
has one inch
| of styrofoam lining and is DOT approved.

| Remember this:
|
| 1. If you bought your helmet and the DOT label separately,
then you put
| the label on later, you are going to most likely be found
guilty. Period.
|
| 3. Novelty helmets aren't worth the money you pay for them
as more and
| more states that have helmet laws are changing such laws
to read that in
| their state, helmets must meet federal standards.
|
|
| Ride free and welcome to Amerika.

If someone admits to wearing a beanie (as opposed to
a half helmet) for 20 years, that says it all about their
choices. If, as indicate above, the rider bought the helmet
and DOT label separately then we know that he knew the
beanie didn't meet the standards. Novelty helmets and
beanies are the same thing. If Washington is a helmet state
and a rider goes in there knowing it, he/she probably
deserved a ticket. -- steve

If you ride, expect to eventually go down. Shit happens. Never mind being
hit, if you just fall off a moving sickle there's a good chance you'll land
on your head. Human craniums burst like cantaloupe when they suddenly
contact pavement. Death is better than surviving as a vegetable.
