A consistent lighting is best but, who can *afford* it in an unused
garage...??????
You might consider putting a couple of boxes or *stinky* mothballs
on the parking area to make sure no rodents take it for a home and start
nicking things here and there....but is the motor is going to be cold, it's
pretty safe, not like a warm motor in a subzero freezing area....
Go with some traps if you want to attract them, but if they aren't
usually around, preventative repelling is the best method...some use
infrared alarms since the M/C Scooter micro wave (proximity) alarms don't
seem to pick them up, the methods are endless.......
