A lot of people skip the bleed and don't push the brake pistons in
too far, then just pop the brakes in like so many car owners....some
re-insert the old brakes and stick a brake disc wide screwdriver in between
to see if it will need a bleed....there's all kinds of (blush) "round robin"
workarounds.....they have had no problems with their brakes either.
One of the problems with bleeding is the tools must be available
like a 7ft/lb measured torque wrench for the bleed nipple that tends to
seize or break.
Also usually the only way air is going to get in there is through
the Bleed Valve itself, unless your rubber piston boots are shot, then they
are in for a change too.
Most M/Cycle mechanics don't do much by-the-book, especially for
routine light maintenance operations like brakes, tyres, oil, etc.
