I live in Burlington, Mass and I ride a sportster. I have been out of
commission for a few years due to young kids and an old back and I am
looking to start riding again, looking for a riding club etc. I am
sort of nerdy-but sociable

You probably wouldn't want to ride more than 50 miles on a Sportster.
Check Yahoo for your local newsgroups. Also, google for local motorcycle
events where you can meet local riders.

Nah, BS... old wives tale. One of my riding
partners road a Sporty he set up for himself and we rode a
few 2-3K mile trips with no problems. He is also about 6'3"
tall so had to make some adjustments, but stayed right with
my Gold Wing all the way. -- steve

A few Harley herders compete in Iron Butt too, but most of us know of the
old Harley pattern of riding 45 minutes out of every hour that leaves 15
minutes to stomping, rubbing numb butts and arms. Smoking was another
tradition during stops. Some even smoked tobacco.
How many sickle brands do you associate with chase trucks?
What brand sickle do you associate with the term "Trailer Queen"?
Just thought I'd ask....
