Hey everyone,

I'm a newer rider and live in Seattle.  It tends to rain here 1/2 the
year and I don't intend on being a fair weather rider, but I have a
question.

How do you keep up visiblity in the rain?  Or, more precisely, in a
drizzle or light rain, or, the worst...  on a WET freeway with
everyone spraying up crap off the road but no fresh water falling down
to clean off your visor..

Thanks,

James, Seattle, Washington, USA, Earth

Wax your visor to make the water bead up, then use a thumb squeegee to
wipe the water off. Works adequately.

Did you ever try Rain-X?  That stuff is pretty amazing if applied properly.

Try some on your car.

Rain-X is reputed to attack the plastic that visors are made of. There
are waxes specifically made to be plastic-safe (sold at motorcycle
store), or Lemon Pledge is reputed to work well also (and is cheaper). I
personally use the visor wax I got at the motorcycle store, so I haven't
tested the Lemon Pledge (yet).

Thanks for the head up.  I think I will avoid it.
