Sussex, NJ 07461
Just 8 Miles South of Beautiful High Point State Park! This place is a
large Yamaha & Suzuki dealership on Southbound side of 23 with an even
larger parking lot. Perfect for our launch.
As always, all funds raised will go towards teen scholarship programs.
Nobody receives a paycheck from this group.
Here are some details about the event. Feel free to pass this on to anyone:
$15 suggested donation per vehicle
No donation necessary to participate.
All donations are fully tax deductible.
Starting Location:
Sussex Motorsports
446 Route 23 South
Sussex, NJ 07461
Registration:
On the morning of July 30, registration will begin at 9:00 AM. Sussex
Motorsports will open for both our business and restroom use. Those who
choose the self-guided tours can head off anytime after they complete
registration. This should give them plenty of time to make it through the
route(s) and to meet us for lunch at our destination!
At some point, we will stop handing out the longer self-guided directions
and only offer shorter routes until a final cutoff point where everyone who
is in attendance will be asked to either take the direct route or join us
for the guided ride to lunch.
This new self-guided tour option is in response to many participants asking
whether we would offer this type of ride in the future. There are many
benefits to this. You ride at your own pace. If you show up early, you get
to take more than one beautiful route. You can take the ride sheets and
ride the routes at a later date... The list goes on and on.
We know you will enjoy the great roads, sights and locations we have planned
for you on your way to a great lunch. Some of the routes will go past the
Animal Refuge where folks can see up to 55 camels and if they are lucky an
elephant, zebra and many other animals in the fields.
In addition to these great rides, you can choose to meet us at the
destination only if you wish. Many have considered starting rides from their
local area and will likely meet us for the fun and food at Luigi's (see
details below). If you have organized such a group ride, please let us know
so we can spread the news for you.
We thank you in advance for any donations you make to The Ride 2005. We will
be collecting these donations at both the Starting and Destination locations
for your convenience.
Destination:
Luigi's Rancho Restaurant
480 Highway 46 West
Belvidere, NJ 07823
Route:
We will have directions at the launch point for those who want to take
self-guided tours of the best roads in the area on their way to our
destination. At approximately 11:00 or 11:30 AM, we will depart with anyone
who stuck around for the group ride. Our route will take us up 23 North a
few miles, down 519 South (a truly amazing road!!!) until we hit Route 46.
We will take a left onto 46 East and end at our destination a mile up the
road for lunch. The total mileage for the guided tour after 11 AM is around
50 miles.
Other self-guided tours will be marked accordingly on direction sheets made
available at the launch point.
Lunch:
We are excited that Luigi's Rancho Restaurant is gladly hosting us!!! You
will be able to order anything off the menu you so desire. We ask that
participants take care of their own food bill. We are making sure that the
routes and locations we use are worth your time and effort! You will not be
disappointed.
