I am in love w/ my little old bike!  it's pretty light weight (650
lbs), handles very well, & has sufficient power...  But, starting to
get long in the tooth, like me....

I've been looking at an ACE Tourer, the one I'm looking at is 8 years
old, asking price is too much, can't seem to meet on price I want to
pay (I figure I like the ACE, the Tourer would be even better)

Pix of the VTX have caught my eye...

I have pretty "bad' arthritis in my neck, so the riding position on my
ACE is about right - the cruiser "style" is more like me; not sure I
could handle really upright or even forward sitting; I like to ride at
least 400 miles per day...   I try to do several multi-day trips every
year, as often as possible!

Anyhow, any of this seem familiar to any of you?  Any suggestions on
what might be the "perfect" ride?   I won't spend the money on harley,
don't want new anything, cause of debt; DO want something longer
winded than the ACE.....

Is the VTX a good bike?

Mileage is becoming an issue that never was before...

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
Jeff

Try a fully faired machine like the Kawasaki Concours or the hard to
find Honda Pacific Coast (800 cc).  The Concours are available in a wide
price range.  Then there are Goldwings, the 4 cyl. models, before they
became 2 wheeled motorhomes.  400 mi. a day is a lot of riding, might as
well be comfortable. Good luck & let us know what you buy.
