Hello Everybody,
I am getting ready to bite the bullet and get a bigger bike. I've had
the 750 Shadow Spirit since last April, and no matter how much I try
to "improve" it, the reality of me being 6' tall, 34" inseam and 250lb
keeps working against me :)  My budget is +3K$ on top of my trade-in
(street value around 4K$ + or so). I'm riding solo, and mostly to/from
work and to/from school (about 75-100 miles per day), with a healthy
mix of freeways and stop-and-go traffic.
From sitting in 1300cc shadow at a dealership I didn't feel an
overwhelming increase of legroom or ergonomics, but the dealer claims
that the larger models are "more comfortable". I don't care muc about
the speed/performance, but my 750 wants to have a sixth gear at
freeway speeds. Is that also the case with the 1100 or 1300 ? Based on
my experience with the current bike I don't have any compelling reason
to swith to another brand (may be except the fact that my closest
Honda dealer is an obnoxious ...hole.)
From the ergonomics standpoint i like HD Dyna Glide, but that's not an
option due to the increased cost of ownership (bike is more expensive
and the insurance is almost double; of course, using an HD to commute
75 miles every day is an expensive hobby too :) )

I'd appreciate any info/comments about Honda and other metric
cruisers, mostly regarding comfort, size and "butt aches" on long
rides...

Thank you
Yuriy
