nobody has ridden one to even post on any forum!!
whats the deal?
I see a 110cc Chinese clone (using Honda knock-off parts even) NEW -
street legal - 700 bucks.

Utter garbage, or junk.

You don't. You can buy a good used one or buy a big steaming pile of
crap from the internet/China.
I know a couple that bought a pair of them for running around their
ranch. They are really poor quailty/fit/finish/ect. They run O.K. for
now...uh yeah check that, one blew up the first two weeks and they have
bought genuine Honda parts for it- that didn't fit. Big surprise there
huh?
Anyhow, you are better off buying used or finding a different hobby
than wasting you money on one of those.

Pep Boys carries Chinese-made bikes, ATV's, and scooters, turning Pep
Boys into a competitor for local bike shops - not. The things sell for
1/2 or less what Suzuki, Yamaha etc sell for and they just look junky
to me. And then I wonder where you'll get it fixed and what kind of
parts you'll need and where you'll get 'em.

Canadian Tire is getting like that - little dirt bikes, little ATVs and
a Goped-style scooter. The engines look like Honda 50-65-90 engines of
the 1960s.
They also have a 250cc ATV that **looks** pretty good. So far no
street-legal scooters, unfortunately nothing street-legal besides
bicycles.

Enter the infamous China "clone" that most (some or all) Honda parts
dont fit on. Same goes for the scooters with the GY6 clone....

Junk.

Didn't you mean "fortunately"?
