I just bought a 1982 kawasaki 1000 police.it use to be a state patrol
bike but it has sat for 7 years in a garage the 2 months
outside!well,i cleaned the ols gas out of the tank put new plugs in it
and gas filter...i got it to start then it back fired(i never thought
to clean the carbs)so i was wondering if the bick is trash now there
didnt seem to be any wire damage or motor but i am kinda scared to
start it again any advice will help!!!

Yes, the bick is trash now; remove it and discard it. The
framizat and the left Thelman wire should be inspected as
well, and you would probably benefit greatly from an
overhaul of the hydraulic temporal reverser sprockets.

Brilliant! NOT.
Bought a bike that's been in storage for 7+ years and you with no apparent
useful knowledge as a mechanic.
What did you expect would happen?? A miracle??
