ape hangers on a vstar

 

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to put 7/8in ape hangers on a
2000 yamaha v star 650 if the stock bars that are on it now are 1in?
Or, do the aftermarket bars HAVE to be 1in also?

A 1" clamp will not hold a 7/8" bar. Your wellbeing and riding may come to a
painful end if you try. That said, you may try shimming the bars or changing
the clamps( if the clamps are changeable ).
