i'm getting back into riding this spring and i was wondering about my
options on insurance.  years ago i use to use Rider Insurance, but since
it's been awhile since i've owned a bike, are there better and/or cheaper
companies out there to check out.  i live in New Jersey, USA where insurance
is mandatory.

thanks...

1. click my "tinyurl" link below and join...

2. Insurance...  Depends on the bike and the coverage...  Rider is the
cheapest for basic minimum coverage almost all the time.  If you have an
auto policy with State Farm or another compnay that offers motorcycle
insurance, they might be the cheapest for full coverage.  Geico treated me
right.  $9-10,000 bike.  $12,000 coverage including roadside for less than
$400 a year.  ...And I'm in a "bad" country for insurance.  If I lived in
somerset or Warren counties, or someplace similar for that matter, my bill
could be in the high $200 range.

3. Where in NJ?  Let's ride.  I'll take you out and help you get your
motorcycle skills back simply because I want to ride!

Hmm? How well do they handle claims.  I've never had a problem with my
bike (progressive) but the two car issues I've had over the years (geico)
were handled without me having to do anything.  But I'm also cheap, and
always looking to save money :)
