I just bought an 85 VF700 Magna and I don't like the sweep back of the bars.
I've been looking on-line for some straighter ones but can't find any 7/8"
bars. Any suggestions on where to look?
thanks,
Richard

Why, those handlebars would be perfectly acceptable---on a wheelbarrow or an
African antelope.. ;-)

Anywhere. 7/8ths diameter is standard for most Japanese machines.
Try googling for handlebar specialists with suggestive names, like "House of
Handlebars".
Or, you can go to sites like www.denniskirk.com and enter your make, model,
and year number, and the site will return a list of everything available that
fits your bike.
www.mawonline works the same way.
But, before you do that, measure what you've got and guess what you want by
sitting on the motorcycle with your hands in the approximate position you
think you would like to ride.
The dimensions you need are diameter and width of the handlebar, center width
of the portion that is clamped to the upper triple clamp, rise, and pullback,
which you call sweep back.
You might find the bar you want categorized as a "western bar". You may find
other bars, like the "low European bar" are wide enough, but too low, causing
you to lean over too much. "Superbike bars" or "drag bars" are short and low.
