Last year I asked about plug gap for a 2003 600 cc Shadow . Was told
infermation was on a decal on the frame,I finally found it , you have to
remove gas tank to read it. Who removes a tank when doing plugs ???

Who removes a tank when doing plugs ???
I have to remove my FZR's seat, gas tank, air box, and the ignition
coils to get at the spark plugs (which I cannot even see without a
mirror).

By some strange coincidence I've always found that NGK plugs have the
correct gap straight out of the box.
If your plug points have eroded to the point where you have to close up the
gap, they will also have become rounded. Its well known that the spark jumps
easier from sharp edges - this is why some manufacturers make plugs with
grooves in one or other of the electrode points.
