Seems like all the regular Mopeds are now 4-stroke, but the littler
mini-motorized scoots are still 2-stroke. though SOME are 4-stroke also
Are they exempt from the recent new emission laws that ended the
2-stroke mopeds from being sold here.
just curious.
the little things have no EGA nor drivers licensing requirements and
are along th elines of a lawnmower in my mind anyway.
they are legal to drive here BTW.

Speaking of 49CC bikes, anyone seen the 49cc motorcycle cruiser bikes?
In the pics I've seen anyway they look JUST like big cruiser
motorcycles! Totally kewl! I have to wonder what their weight capacity
is, though. For anyone small enough to ride them they'd offer close to
100 mpg gas mileage!

If you are talking about the minibike ones,
I knew someone who had one. Parts liked to break on it. Plus, when I
drove down the side of the road, it sounded like a gas string trimmer.
He sold it, I think in non running condition.
I think a scooter is much cooler than the little mini cruisers. And I
think a 250 enduro (I've got a '84 Kawi KLR250) is much cooler than the
mini cruiser. :D :)
Even though I've got the 250, I still really want a scooter. I should
be getting an '87 Elite 50 soon, and want to put knobby tires on it,
since the fenders are all gone or broken, and ride around in the dirt
with it until I come across new fenders. :D
