Can someone please give a brief summary of the traffic regs in the New
England states (and others) regarding driving motorcycles between or
beside lanes of automobile trafic?  I know that some years ago bike
owners in California were encouraged to travel between lanes on
freeways...I spend lots of time in Central America where bikes
seemingly have no restrictions in this respect, and as a result, a
little 100cc bike gets you around faster in the city than any car, and
little bikes are used for pizza deliveries and delivery of gas
bottles, etc.  TIA

Arizona had 'lane-splitting' until the early 80's, when cagers whined to our
legislators that congestion was more important than expediting flow.

"Lane sharing" is defined as two motorcycles in a single lane.

"Lane splitting" is passing between two lines of traffic, whether
stopped or moving.

Great information.  Such laws only make sense.  Why doesn't the AMA promote
it for all states?
