That's how far the first rear E3 tire went . Started to ride it to work this
AM , but the clutch felt "wrong" - too much free play on the hand control ,
plus a couple of times this week the lever has hung up on me . I'm thinkin'
it's frayed inside the case somewhere and about to bust .
Good thing I didn't ride it today , got it up on the lift after work , and
while cords ain't showin' , I'm bettin' it's only about 10 miles from it . I
wouldn't have made it home ...
Got a new E3 and clutch cable sittin' in the shed , and I'm off Friday for
the holiday . Guess what I'll be doin' this weekend ?

Weekend? You work a little on the slow side?
The tire change takes less than one hour. The clutch cable maybe two hours,
depending on how much exhaust crap you have to take off.
That leaves you with Saturday afternoon, and all day Sunday to ride!

Well , got a little 'lectric mod I wanna do too ... plus an oil change ,
repack and check wheel bearings , etc . And most of the exhaust has to come
off , at least on the left side .
I figger friday's going to see it all done , but don't tell my wife .
She'll wanna "make plans" .

I haven't had time to ride at all for the last couple o' weeks. Just got
the boy married off last weekend. We had the wedding ceremony here in
our back yard, and the next night we had the reception (beer party) in
our yard as well. That was a lot of work for several weeks prior, but it
turned out great. Now that shit is behind me and all I gotta do is
finish painting TG's bike, and get ready for the EKIII run. Going to do
some riding in between, too. I have my 40th high school reunion in
eastern Nebraska this summer. I think I'm going to take a circuitous (my
favorite word) route via New Mexico or perhaps wander up towards ND
before I end up in Scribner NE. Might hafta stop in and say "hi" to ya.
