It has come to my attention that there is a serious ommission in the
faq/guidelines. This should not be unexpected because every such
document is a work in progress and may need ammendment from time to
time as new facts are discovered.

One of those new facts has recently been discovered by this humble
correspondent.  I therefore request the following warning be added (in
bold print if possible, please):

"Do not ever, ever, ever suggest (even jokingly) that Americans don't
know how to shoot properly."

Don't let another innocent foreigner make this mistake... Which
reminds me of another item that could be added as well:

"Although the name does not state it, this forum is dedicated to
accepted, American points of view (you should know what they are
because they are common knowledge). Any views questioning the American
way will be considered as "U.S. Hating" and dealt with as such (P.S.
This rule does not prohibit the expression of criticism for any other
country's gun laws, health systems, etc.)"

Thank you for your kind consideration of this request.

I'm pissed in any way over a thread........ Just toying with the Canookian,
anyone that _knows_ me, knows this.

Dianne has a perfect right to not reply if she doesn't want to.

Flare-ups happen now and then - especially on a text-only forum.  It's
inevitable.

And then the insults and mischaracterizations start to fly.  Only the
people who are deeply involved and pretend they are above the fray are
dishonest.  If there's something someone disagrees with and wants to
dispute it, even vigorously, then go ahead, I say.  Nothing wrong with
it, so long as people exericise a little respect for each other.

That respect isn't due only based on how well you know the person;
it's also due on account of how little you do *not* know on a text-
only forum.  You still ought to be fair with people.

Sure, it's best when everyone gets together on a regular basis to meet
in person.  That's the ideal, but this is an international forum and
that's not always do-able.  So maybe that's worth keeping in mind the
next time the urge to engage in some piling-on occurs - fun as it is,
and good for building group cohesiveness it may be.  Mob behaviour
tends to bring out the worst in people and, personally, I find it a
bit distasteful to be a part of.  If it has to come to it, I prefer to
see a fair fight, rather than walk away, part of a large group saying,
"We sure taught that guy!"

Okay, I have to get off this computer for awhile.  It's an early
Saturday morning and one of my grand daughters is hitting me, trying
to get my attention, and I have to finish off a rally Website I
promised would be done today too.  Good thing the weather outside is
shitty today anyway.
