Are Friction Plates Supposed to be This Expensive?

Hello folks.  It looks like the next one's on me.  I was phoning
around today to get a new set of friction plates and steel plates for
my Street Bob's clutch.  My jaw dropped when I heard the prices.

For the friction plates, one HD dealer wants $269 (Cdn) and the other
in town wants $244.95.  Ouch!

Then I asked if the steel plates were included in the kit and they
said they weren't.  8 new steel plates at $16 a pop will add another
$128.  Dog gone, that's going to total close to $400 now (once tax is
added).

So, to the thing that's on my mind now:  Anyone got a set of lightly-
used clutch plates they want to sell?
