"In 2001, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi, a Libyan, was convicted of
involvement in the bombing and sentenced to life imprisonment. On 20
August 2009, the Scottish Government released him on compassionate
grounds to return to Libya as he was suffering from terminal prostate
cancer and had a life expectancy of less than 3 months."
So it would seem the Lockerbie bomber was released to seal a deal with
the UK representing BP to access Libyan oil. $23 Billion Dollars
worth.
A slap in the face to America and all the victims families.
Boycott BP anyone ?
I got no problems taking it out on BP.

I quit them a few years ago when they started promoting all that wind
power silliness. They were investing heavily into manufacturing
windmills all the while lobbying for various governments to require
power companies to use wind power. How handy. Power companies would need
to buy turbines, and guess what? BP would be able to sell the expensive
equipment to them.
Recently they more-or-less gave up on wind power, realizing it wasn't
gonna work very well. So I started buying their fuel.
Now it looks like I hafta stop buying their gas...again.

Looks like you'll have to give up on anything GE makes too... They're
pushing windmills hot 'n heavy right now for Obama.

actually wind power is doing quite well and a big seller for some
companies
