Hey Shirley,

Set um up, first one is on me.  I'll have a Beck's if you have
it, a Bud if you don't.

Lurker mode off.  Have been sitting in a dark corner for a while,
for years, watching the crowd.  Looked at couple of your web
sites.  Hope to contribute some day.

Have had my motorcycle license since 1974.  Have had three
motorcycles, a Yamaha CT175 that I got my license on, Honda
CB450, a fun bike I road to school every day in college, summer
and winter, and a Motoguzzi 850 Eldorado I wrecked splitting
lanes, damn crash bars stick out too far, remember how big that
5mph bumper used to be on the Ford LTD, needed stiches for that
one.  Have lived without ever since, until I started renting
Harleys, about 10 years ago, whenever I needed a fix, at Bob
Dron's.

Why so long without a bike?  Money plays a part but the main
reason was my oldest son.  By the time I wanted another bike he
was getting older.  Always a wild man, fearless crash and burn
kind of kid.  When he got his license he drove reckless, wrecked
three cars!  He would kill himself on a bike.  If he ever asked
about a motorcycle, I couldn't say no if I had one, right?  Well,
he is old now, been out of the house for many years, and he got a
bike.  Road a Kawasaki Nighthawk for a year and a half, sold it,
and bought a 09 Nightster 1200.

So I bought a 2002 Road King FLHRI.  It was a tough
decision, Twin Cam, an EVO, or an old classic.  Wanted a
shovelhead.  Almost got an EVO, Still think a shovel would
be cool to own.  Maybe someday I can have two bikes.

Enjoy the beverages, got to use the facilities and get back on
the bike.  Have lots of miles to put on it to make up for the
lean years.

Which leads me to, seats...

Later,

Vic

Thanks for the drink.  Welcome back into the wind.  Good luck with
your son.  I have a daughter who doesn't really want to drive.  I can
only imagine what you're going through.

Nice choice on the bike.  If you haven't done it yet, get the nose
cone off and check the wear on the cam chain tensioners.  Trust me on
this.
