Drinks for all who want 'em. There's a fresh bottle of Maker's Mark I
purchased for the bar on the table next to the jukebox - help
yourself.

Many thanks for organizing the shindig, Paulie. I had a great time.
Was nice to get up on Saturday without a hangover and ride to the NADA
tunnel, Wild Turkey, HD dealer, the Parkway, all great fun. Looking
forward to next year.

Sunday I rode around the back roads of Kentucky for over 3 hours just
killing time. Saw some beautiful farms, and some not so beautiful
ones, very up close and personal. Some of the roads were one-lane, and
sometimes a tad bumpy. Still got to Maker's Mark a half hour early.
Excellent tour - I'd highly recommend it! The visitor's center is a
small building that serves bourbon-flavored coffee, fresh Toll House
cookies. And a room with the pictures of granddad, dad, mom, and son.
They look just like any other pictures on the wall you've ever seen,
until they start talking to one another. What a hoot! Lips move, smoke
comes up, little sight gags pop up - it's a real fun deal. On the
premises is a nifty little café that serves excellent sandwiches,
including bourbon barbecued pork. You can get a nice lunch for under
ten dollars - but it's cash only, no credit cards. The tasting room,
gift shop, etc., are separate from the visitor's center, and much
larger. And they take credit cards there. You can buy a bottle of your
choice, and take it over to a big vat of red wax, and dip it yourself.
(All the bottles you buy in the store have already been hand-dipped in
red wax.
Kinda like Cognac bottles.) Loads of fun. Maker's Mark is the only
distiller in the US that is still American-owned.

Pics across the street.
