You either R.E.
This is from Steve Manes and has to do with using Google Maps with Garmin
Zumo 660. I don't know anything about it, but thought some in here might
find it useful... or not (JMark).

So I guess it's ok for me to look into this, 'eh? From the
few times I've met him I like Steve Manes, & I've enjoyed most of the
things I've seen from him on the web. That being said, it looks like
this time he's joined the ranks of the "hate it if it comes from the
OEM" group.
Some of you might have noticed that I use a Garmin.... For
years now I've seen a continuous stream of complaints about Mapsource.
I just don't understand it. Mapsource is a map about like any other,
& it's designed to work with the Garmin line of products. I don't
find it difficult to use, & creating a custom route to import to the
GPS takes less time than reading (let alone researching all the extra
software) Steve's process demands.
Steve, or any other user, could simply change Mapsource's
routing options to "shortest distance", create the custom route they
desire, plug in the GPS unit, wait for the computer to find the unit
(it does so automatically), & click on "send". You do have to
"import" the data after you unplug the unit from the computer, but
that usually takes another 5 to 10 seconds.
Or he could just get out of the D.C./New York area & follow
Banker. Unless, of course, he wanted a tour of Harley dealerships.
Then I'd suggest R.E............8^)
