Shirley set 'em up
I have always had a problem with battery connections coming loose,
well more than usual i think.
Getting ready for a trip and decided to give a once over and saw the
battery terminal loose again.
I was thinking iof running a self tapping screw through the lead into
the terminal bolt........... Whudaya think ??

Why does it keep coming loose - fix that first, different screw with a
locking nut or locking washers?

I bet if you do that screw thing you'll end up replacing that battery in a
little while because the terminal has fallen apart. As a last resort you
might be better off to get to your local auto parts supply and find a clamp
that'll fit around the terminal and secure the cable to it, but it could
still pop off.

Thanks for the root beer.

I would not be a big fan of that solution.  Most of the battery
terminals I have encountered are pretty soft metal.

Have you tried some sort of lock washer or something?

I am assuming the battery connection is like the threaded side
connection and not some sort of top post/clamp type arrangement typical
of many of the automotive type batteries?
