SWMBO had a Heritage and I had a wide glide til 1989. We could do 700+/-
mile days on them, but when we got there we'd be ragged whilst the bros on
full size H-Ds were ready to party. So we traded for full size FLHs.
We quit doing long rides after I got cancer and diabetes so we bought
sporties. At my age, they're OK for about 300 miles so she's thinking about
adding a bigger bike but I still have my FLH and we lack garage space for a
second full size bike. So we're wondering which, if any, new mid-sized
H-Ds, like the dyna, travel any better than the sporties and which of them
is best??
Suggestions?

Any mid-sized bike will travel better than a Sporty so yeah, a Dyna should
suit ya fine, great handling ride. I prefer an FLH size bike for 500 miles
or more but for 300+-, Dyna works good.

I had an R1100RT. Good bike but after 60,000 it began eating front tires
faster and faster til, by 75k it was getting under 4000mi/tire and nobody
could fix it.
Did they ever find a cure?
