I was messing with the bike last weekend, as some of you may have noticed
from a previous post. Oh wait, Shirley some drinks, make mine a double
vodka (whatever you have behind the bar is fine) on the rocks. The clutch
was grabbing yesterday, but I adjusted the cable this morning and it seems
to be fine now. The bike did, however, stall twice on the way to work, both
times as I was slowing to a stop. Oh, and the starter motor stopped working
this week. No clicking sound, just nothing. Anyway, after a short period I
got the bike started again (gotta love a kickstart, and no, not Danny,
although he does have his redeeming qualities), and during the trouble
shooting I noticed I had the petcock on Prime instead On. I changed this
and I'll see if it makes a difference, perhaps I was flooding the carbs. If
not then I'll replace the fuel lines. I have a couple inline fuel filters
that have been on there for a while and I really don't think I need them, so
I'll just run new lines.
The bike is a Ural for those that don't know.
