This past summer I bought a 2002 XL1200C.  Ever since I've been riding
it, the right rear turn signal keeps blowing.  I do believe that the
turn signals are after market but everthing else seems to be stock.  Is
anyone else had this same problem or able to tell me what to do to fix
it?

I occasionally have the same problem on my '02 Heritage. I'll go through 2-3
of them then it'll be fine for a while. I haven't checked but it may
correspond to other maintenance I'm doing on the bike involving removing the
seat in which case it would lead me to believe its a piched wire.

Have you done anything recently that may have caused it?

Mine blows auxiliary taillight bulbs if I cruise over about 3400 rpm's ,
or if I wind it past 5 grand before I shift . I know this , and yet it
hasn't affected my driving habits at all . Made my wallet lighter ...

Could be a bad voltage regulator.  If it's putting out too much voltage
(over 15V) it will start blowing bulbs.  But I wouldn't think it would
keep blowing the same bulb.

Also, look for something loose that's allowing shaking/vibrating of the
bulb.  They don't like that either.

My signals used to get weird in the rain. You might look where the tire
hits the wires. Its an easy first thing to look for.
