Hi, If I buy a Can-Am Spyder will the H-D guys pick on me? I really
like the snowmobile with wheels, but I have a bad habit of falling
over so, three wheels should help with that.
Thanks

I promise not to laugh . The shop I work at recently did all the casework
for the Can-Am dealer here , I'd like to test drive one sometime . A friend
did , sez they handle like they're on rails , but he didn't think it'd be
all that great for touring - "ergomonics suck a big one" was the way he
phrased it .

That's odd. There were a half dozen of them show up at a local bike night.
I thought that it was a local dealer showing them off.
That was until I saw that all of the plates were from Quebec and Ontario.
Saw another one recently that had a higher windshield and saddlebags.
Looked like the owner put a few miles on it.

Go for it Taz. Get the automatic version.
Add a better windshield and hit the road.

Starting a new JOB on 8/3 so it will be a while before I get some
cash. Been draining the saving since 4/4/08, going to take a year or
so before I SHOULD get something. The bad thing is that the dealer Top
Gear in Bogart GA is just up the street for the shop I'll be at
www.atlantapo.com. If the seating position is good for my L1 L2
compressions and my T10 T11 burst fractures I'll have a hard time
waiting. The auto version will be hard to light the tire, the manual
smokes if the steering is straight. Though it will save money on
tires. The Mayor has "will work for tires" stickers in his shop area,
I could get a few and plaster them all over the bike. I was thinking
about fabing up a right side shifter and changing the rear cable brake
to hydraulic, add a proportional valve so I can run it off the front
with the hand lever.
