Next time you’re driving down the highway at breakneck speed, your
cell phone, not your radar detector, may be the device that prevents
you from getting a ticket.

Taking a page from social networking sites and adding a cell phone to
the mix, Trapster, a new Internet-based service, will inform you in
real time of upcoming speed traps.

Actually, I like the idea. I constantly have cars speding by
my house. I could slow some down by announcing cops
and radar that aren't really there.

It gets so bad here sometimes, I came real close to
buying a retired state police cruiser last year to park
on the road in front of my house last year with a dummy
amd a 49 dollar Pep Boys radar gun. Still might do it.

that DOES work,

on I-95 just south of Cocoa, they always have sheriffs cars in the
median, they don;t even have dummies in them, traffic goes to  67.5
mph from 85 everytime there!  It's kind of neat, because that sudden
slow down usually leaves way for the bike to get around the traffic!
