First of all, I'd like to wish everyone blue skys and winds at your
back!  The weather is great right now, but I'm resitant to ride because
the sled's acting-up.  It started about a month ago when I thought I
got some bad gas (or the bike, that is) or maybe some junk in the
carburator.  I'll be riding along and all of a sudden there's
hesitation, backfiring, and sometimes she quits.  She'll start again
and idle O.K., but with increased RPMs, she'll act-up again and quit.
At times, even a hiccup when she quits.  Not being a Mechanic, I'm only
confused and frustrated.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
Here's the technical data:
-Three year old S&S 113 C.I. with 3,800 miles.
-S&S Super G Carburator with a Velocity Stack (Head and Crankcase
breathers are good).
-Crane Cams HI-4 Dual Fire Race Ignition 8-1100.
-Spark Advance is set at T.D.C.
-Rev Lim is set at approx. 6800.
-New Spark Plugs.
-New Fuel Filter.
-Drained Carburator Bowl.
-Ran Lucas Carb Cleaner in one tank of gas.
-Air/Fuel Mixture is at 1 and 1/3rd turns from closed position.
-Elevation is approx. 250 feet (Fayetteville, NC).
Please ask if any additional data would help.  Thanks.
V/R,
David
