I have a 1985 FXWG with Single Plug Single Fire Compufire Electronic
Ignition. 16 months ago it died. I was in heavy traffic and hot
weather. Got back up to cruising speed, backfired and died.
Would not restart. Replaced the ignition. Yesterday in similar
conditions heavy traffic and hot weather, Back up to cruising speed
lost power and coasted to stop. When attempting to re-start serious
constant backfiring not rideable. Could this be the Ignition again?
